Mechanical Equipment Screening, Faux Brick Style

The demand for mechanical screen fencing equipment has increased in recent years, for two primary reasons: convenience inherent in shielding machinery from public view; and the fact that more and more civil codes require property owners to obscure their dumpsters, HVACs, generators, etc. PalmSHIELD remains the dominant screening contractor, fabricating everything custom. When you work with us, you receive panels engineered to match your specific needs—accommodating height requirements and encompassing whatever area size needing concealment. We also offer a plethora of unique panel styles. Among the latest additions to our itinerary is Faux Bricks Panels. Check out our latest YouTube video—posted above—and read on to learn why this screening system’s a great fit for you!

Besides blotting certain objects, mechanical screen fencing equipment needs to imbue aesthetics. While you can default to generic gray louvered screening, some property owners want panels matching building profiles. As mentioned above, we build everything custom—and very frequently fabricate panels to exhibit certain colors. But how about screens which are to be placed before solid brick? Once again, PalmSHIELD has the answer!

The Faux Brick Style mechanical equipment screens are the result of a partnership between PalmSHIELD and Texture Plus®, a leading family-owned and operated business serving contractors and homeowners around the globe. Texture Plus® utilizes polymer to simulate the appearance and texture of masonry; the polymer is resistant to damage caused by weather and insects. What resembles miniature brick walls is in fact sheets of aluminum expertly fabricated to match the masonry aesthetic. In crafting these panels, the fabrication team has gone so far as to not only mimic the look of brick-and-mortar but also to replicate the texture. (This includes shading in the “bricks” as well as divots in the “cement.”)

This match in appearance makes Faux Brick Style panels equally suitable for rooftop mechanical screen fencing equipment, as well. And because they’re fashioned from aluminum rather than brick, they’re significantly lighter in weight than their masonry counterparts. (Remember, though: these panels are still quite heavy. Each will average five pounds per square foot, and with the steel framing included, will be much heavier. Transportation, relocation, and installation require great care.)
