PalmSHIELD Creates Rooftop Equipment Screening for MCB Bank in Johnson City, TN

To date, PalmSHIELD has custom-designed/fabricated hundreds of architectural and mechanical equipment screens for clients across the nation. Among the product types we specialize in are rooftop equipment screens. Local codes in many communities require property owners to obscure rooftop equipment from public view. Besides meeting local requirements, doing so increases a building’s curb appeal and also helps protect equipment from wind damage.

Earlier this year, PalmSHIELD manufactured rooftop equipment screens for MCB Bank in Johnson City, TN. For this project, we coordinated with Burleson Construction Company, whose team installed the screening. “PalmSHIELD was specified to us by architect Thomas Weems,” said Burleson project manager James Hanson. An estimator with Burleson requested a quote in August 2022, which was supplied the following day. By October, a product order was submitted and the project was underway.

PalmSHIELD stresses the importance of communication with the customer. “I got weekly updates,” says Hanson. The finished screens were delivered on May 9. “I’d worked with PalmSHIELD before, and delivery has always been on time. Whenever they said the materials would show up, that was the day they’d show up.” Hanson also spoke positively of product installation. “My guys in the field always tell me that everything we get from PalmSHIELD goes together well. I’m actually working on three more projects with PalmSHIELD. I would definitely work with them again.”
