PalmSHIELD selected to protect our electrical grid.

PalmSHIELD was selected to protect critical components on a series of electrical substations throughout North America.  NERC has set forth criteria for larger substations that impact our nation’s electrical grid.  These criteria include protecting various components of these substations from acts of vandalism.  PalmSHIELD is the perfect solution as it both provides a visual barrier and physical barrier for protecting mechanical and electrical equipment.

This installation will be engineered to include a series of twenty foot tall by four foot panels.  The panels will be installed in an zig zag pattern to provide more of a visually appealing barrier as well as providing more structural support.  Also, by placing the panels at forty-five degrees to anyone on the outside, the system provides even more of a visual barrier while still providing plenty of ventilation.

PalmSHIELD is a perfect solution for protecting electrical equipment that generates a lot heat.  With the industries’ thickest louvers and fully framed panels, our louvered panels are least likely to bend or bow with variations in temperatures.  PalmSHIELD’s louvered screening is also a perfect solution for protecting fueling equipment, fuel storage, hydrogen fuel systems, and gas storage and dispensing equipment.  These systems require a great deal of ventilation.
