Bring on the Business: New Powder Coating Division
When you see a PalmSHIELD product out in the community, you will notice not one is the same color. We have projects that are traditional colors like silver, black, and white, however we also have greens, browns, creams, and more. The custom color is added to our product by powder coating the metal.
We are happy to announce our shop has a brand new powder coating booth and oven! Our new powder coating facility consists of a 20’x10’x12’ booth and a 35’x10’x12’ oven. We are proud to have one of the largest ovens in the Midwest! This means we are able to powder coat whole products all at once. This creates a smooth, clean finish on all our products.
With this new facility, our parent company—American Fence Company—has decided to take on a customer base and powder coat outside products. This new business is called IronShield.
IronShield offers multiple services including powder coating, liquid coating (painting), sand blasting, and phosphate etching.
- Powder Coating: Dry coating that is applied electrostatically, then cured.
- Blasting: Sand blasting to smooth, clean and shape materials.
- Liquid Coating: Method to apply urethanes, epoxies, lacquers and liquid paint to products.
- Etching: Also known as engraving, lasered designs applied after color.
Big or small, IronShield does it all! If the product fits in our oven, they are able to service it.
