Architectural Screening for Brick, Stone, and Concrete Buildings

Architectural screening is essential in making a building seem wholesome, complete, and sanitary. Few things visually discourage customers than a structure with visible dumpsters, HVACs, and similar fixtures. Not to mention we live in an age now where many progressive communities legally require property owners to shield such items from public view. Here at PalmSHIELD, we’ve gone above and beyond in creating the market’s most diverse selection of screening designs. Our custom fabrication and powder coating services allow us to color panels to match building exteriors. LED backlit screens and trellis screening yields greater curb appeal and visual beauty.

But how about more rustic buildings, those composed of brick-and-mortar, or those with concrete and a stone-like aesthetic? Metal louvers tend to clash distractingly against such backgrounds. Recognizing the need to blend screening into backgrounds while meeting local screening requirements, we’ve developed a series of architectural screens called the Brick & Stone Collection.

What are these screens made of?

To create these elegant panels and their simulation of brick, stone, and concrete, we’ve partnered with the vendor Texture Plus®. From them we purchase the infill, which consists of specially fabricated, textured, and colored polymer. The infill’s then set between our custom-made posts, and clients have panels that match the appearance of brick and stone but are comparably cheaper and lightweight. Of course, they’re still heavy and must be handled with care. Each panel averages five pounds per square foot, and that’s not taking into account the weight of the steel frames.

What can I use these screens to cover?

Architectural and mechanical equipment screens are commonly used to obscure:

  • Dumpsters
  • Courtyards
  • Walkways
  • Gardens
  • Patios
  • Partitions
  • HVAC Screens
  • Hot tubs
  • Generators
  • Pool equipment
  • Transformers
  • Propane tanks
  • Rooftop enclosures

What are my design options with PalmSHIELD’s Brick and Stone Collection?

PalmSHIELD presently offers the following styles in our Brick & Stone Collection. Each comes with its own series of designs and color options.

  • Faux Brick. Do you have a building with a traditional masonry exterior? Downtown structures, older buildings, and infrastructure purposely designed to evoke an antiquated look default to this series.
  • Faux Stone. If your home or commercial building features stone-based walls and columns, you’ll naturally want similar-looking architectural screens to obscure your trash receptacles, HVACs, generators, etc. Luxurious homes with pools also need something to contain and hide pool equipment.
  • Faux Concrete. Whether you have a building with a flat concrete surface, or one composed of cinderblocks, PalmSHIELD’s Faux Concrete has the solution to guise your equipment while matching background infrastructure.
