An Introduction to PalmSHIELD Louvers & Architectural Screening

Architectural and louvered screens have been used for years to conceal mechanical equipment, generators, compressors, etc. American Fence Company has been installing these screens and fences for decades. Over time, we have come to appreciate the shortcomings and strengths of some of the more popular architectural screening systems. Hence, we strongly promote PalmSHIELD architectural screening and louvers.

PalmSHIELD’s exclusive systems are all aluminum. Much of the equipment that is enclosed with these systems generates some form of condensation, exhaust, steam, etc. Steel screen systems do not perform well under constant humidity. PalmSHIELD’s louvered systems use a much thicker aluminum louver than traditional steel louvers. Steel louvers are typically sixteen gauge pregalvanized steel sheet that that has been sheared and pressed, leaving uncoated ends that are exposed for corrosion. PalmSHIELD’s louvers are fully powder coated on all sides.

PalmSHIELD is the only fully framed screening system. Each panel is framed with a large angle framework. Slight shifts in footings or falling tree limbs will twist or damage traditional louvered systems. Each PalmSHIELD panel is structurally sturdy in and of itself, not relying on the post mount to prevent twisting or warping.

PalmSHIELD screening creates the perfect equipment enclosure.
